Clear, spotless and glowing skin don’t need any coverage of makeup and we all want to make our skin naturally even but hormonal imbalance, periods, pregnancy , pollution and weather conditions are some factors which are responsible for various skin issues like acne , dullness,dark spots etc. As we can’t fight with these natural conditions which affects our skin but we can avoid these skin problems by making small changes in our lifestyle and by taking proper care of our skin.

In this post I am going to share some basic skin care tips, applicable for all skin types to get healthy skin.

1.Drink warm water

Warm water helps to flush out various toxins and free radicals which causes various skin infections and ageing.It also improve circulation which adds glow to skin and improve its texture.

2. Wash your face before bed

Throughout the day our skin is exposed to various pollutants,sun and dirt and all these toxins are accumulated on our skin and inhibits the cell repair system (skin sheds dead cell and makes new). So clean skin helps to regenerate new cells.

3.Scrub your face once a week

Scrubbing helps to get rid of black heads ,white heads ,dead skin , improves circulation and makes your face soft and naturally glowing.you can make scrub at home I have shared in my old post or go for scrubs available in market.

4. Steam your face once a weak

Steam helps to kill toxic bacteria accumulated on our pores and remove all the dirt and dust particles which causes blackheads. It helps to get rid of dry skin and dead skin. As we age our natural skin rejuvenation (cell repair) system slow down . So it’s good for skin to take Steam once a weak.

5. Wear sunscreenSunscreen is necessary because it prevents our skin from harmful rays which can cause skin cancer. So sun screen is must for every family member. It also prevents our skin from sunburn, discoloration and uneven skin.

In my recent visit to a shopping mart ,I came across sntoor body lotion this lotion was on offer of buy one get one so I bought it because winters are here and body lotions are must product for winter. It’s been 3 – 4 weeks since I am using this lotion so in this post I am reviewing Santoor Perfumed body lotion whitening and UV protection.

Smell: very soothing and refreshing sandlewood like fragrance.

Product claims:

  • All seasons moisturising lotion.
  • Skin whitening and UV protection.
  • Moisturizer and soften skin. throughout the day.
  • Improve skin texture and have anti-ageing properties.

My experience: As above I mentioned 4 major points which this product claims to be ,now here is my experience does these Four claims proven true or not.

True claims:

It is a good moisturizer for your skin .It makes your skin smooth and soft whithout making it greasy.

This is a very good moisturizer for mansoons and summers .

Improve skin texture and have anti -ageing extracts.

False claims:

It doesn’t provide moisturisation throughout the day in winters.After 3-4 hrs. you need to apply lotion again .

Not lightens skin tone.

You need to apply separate SPF cream for sun protection.

This is a very good body lotion for summers but for winters you can use this lotion as a face moisturizer and hand cream because in winter your body needs heavy moisturisation.

3. Eating healthy

Green veggies, fruit and nuts makes us healthy internally , physically and mentally .food with omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids is very important for our brain cells. It is found in nuts ,fish and flaxseeds. So eating right food is necessary for our brains nourishment and mental health.

4. Reading

Home Remedies for Nail care.

Every girl wants beautiful, strong , shiny nails. But due to fast life we don’t care them properly, here is some nail care tips.

1. Use scrubber on your nails once a week to make them shiny.

2. Massage your nails with olive oil for strong nails.

3. Rub Vaseline on nails after taking bath for nourishing cuticles and nails.

4. For soft nails make paste of honey and olive oil apply it on nails for 5 minutes, then wash it off with cold water. Repeat this tip thrice a week for best results.

5. For dry and brittle nails massage gently for five minutes with vitamin E oil or almond oil before going to bed. Follow this remedy daily for noticeable change.

6. For instant shiny nails clean your nails with toothpaste and soft toothbrush and then massage with baby oil .

7. For brighter and whiter nails soak your nails in lemon juice for 10 minutes or rub squeezed lemon on nails.

8. For stronger and healthier nails dissolve a tablespoon salt in warm water. Add few drops of olive oil and add a tablespoon lemon juice. Soak your nails for 15 minutes in thi solution, rinse with lukewarm water pat dry massage with almond oil. Repeat this tip two times per week for best results.

9. Soak your nails in lukewarm mustard oil for 5 to 10 minutes then rub each of them gently and slowly to ensure the circulation this tip will provide nourishment to your cuticles and makes your nails strong.

10. Soak your nails in warm milk for 10 minutes to strengthen and whiten your nails and grow them faster.

1.Milk as a Cleanser

Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of milk

Procedure: Mix both the ingredients well and apply all over your face and neck evenly . Now gently massage your face in circular motion for 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse your face with warm water after 5 minutes. It makes your skin soft, prevent acne and hyperpigmentation.

Cleanse your face with raw milk it will remove all the dirt from your face

2. Milk as a exfoliant
Ingredients: Milk+oatmeal

Procedure:
Lactic acid in milk is works best to exfoliate dead and dry skin. Just mix 1/2 cup of oatmeal with milk in bowl to make paste. Rub this paste on your face or body,let it rest for 5 minutes and rinse it off .

3. Face Mask:
Ingredients:Milk + Almond

Procedure: Soak 5-6 almonds in water or milk overnight. Next morning peel off and crush them to make fine paste with a teaspoon of milk. Apply this paste on your face or neck area, let it dry and then rinse it with lukewarm water.
This mask will help to get rid of blemishes, fine lines,dark circles, age spots and also helps to lighten the skin .

4. Milk as a toner:
Ingredients: Milk + Cucumber juice

Procedure: Milk has natural lipids which moisturize your skin and cucumber juice helps to tightens your skin. Mix cucumber juice in milk and apply it to your face. Leave it on for 15 minutes then rinse and get glowing skin.

5.Milk as a moisturizer
Milk is a good moisturizer for dry skin .Just dip a cotton ball in raw milk and dab all over your face. Allow it to dry and then wash it off with cool water. Or
Massage your body with milk before shower.
